The troop also collects aluminum cans and mixed aluminum for recycling. After a trailer load is accumulated, it is delivered to a recycling facility and the Troop is paid the going rate.
A flower sale is held each year on the Thursday-Saturday before Easter. The troop sells high quality Spring flowers. This sale benefits the troop and the local florist who provides the flowers.
The next flower sale will be held at the vacant lot below CVS owned by Paran Management from Thursday, April 1 thru Saturday, April 3.
Troop 128 will be conducting a candle sale in March to help cover troop expenses. Candles are from Keystone Candles and come in many flavors and sizes.
Occasional breakfast and dinner meals are scheduled to help with raising funds for the troop. The meals are held at the sponsoring church on Washington Street. Please watch calendar for details.
Troop 128 recycles newspapers and magazines. Each scout family is expected to participate in this project. The newspapers are delivered to area farmers who use the newspapers/magazines as cattle bedding and the troop is paid per ton.
